No-Show/Late Cancellation Policy:
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours in advance) are considered a “no show.” Chapel Hill Primary Care does not double-book appointments; patient appointments are reserved for exclusively for an individual patient. 24 hour cancellation notice is important to continuation of our commitment to exclusive appointment times and an important consideration to other patients seeking an appointment or needing medical care in a timely fashion.
No Show Policy
A “no show” is an appointment that is missed without cancellation at least 24 hours in advance.
A failure to present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recoreded in our appointment system as a “no show.” The individual will be sent a letter indicating that he/she has failed to show up for an appointment and a no-show fee of $50.00 may be charged. If a fee is charged, it will be billed directly to the patient, not the insurance company. The fee is required to be paid prior to scheduling any future appointments. Three “no-shows” in one year may result in the termination from the practice.
If a patient is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, the appointment may have to be rescheduled.
Note that a patient appointment times are scheduled exclusively for one patient; the practice does not double-book. Arriving late means less appointment time with the provider. Chapel Hill Primary Care does its very best to run on time. We are respectful of our patients’ time and busy schedules. New patients should arrive at least 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork and get checked in. Call ahead if you are new and have questions about directions. Plan for traffic. Returning patients should arrive at least 5-10 mins. for check-in. Insurance cards must be scanned at each and every appointment so billing information is up to date.
