Focus of Practice:

Dr. Eksir’s areas of interest are in working with patients with attention deficit disorder, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, binge eating disorders, intellectual and developmental disorders, and early onset thought disorders.  Transitions in life, such as recent divorce, new job, starting college, moving to a new city, or a loss of a loved one can be daunting for patients and their families, but he has been privileged to support clients during these difficult periods.

Dr. Eksir believes that a physician and patient must work as a team.  As a psychiatrist, he offers both psychiatric medication management and psychotherapies.  He is open to employing a variety of traditional and alternative approaches.  He believes in setting goals at sessions, and considering some concrete and abstract ways to measure our success.

Dr. Eksir enjoys spending his free time engaging in family activities, improv comedy, stand-up comedy, theater shows, music, cooking, yard work, running, golf, and martial arts.  He is an avid reader, and his favorite books center around history, biographies, and economics. Dr. Eksir’s work as a psychiatrist has introduced him to the many customs of his patients and their families, and he welcomes the opportunity to learn from and about the various cultures of our world.

Dr. Eksir looks forward to serving you in your journey to wellness.
