Samantha Eksir

Education

Dr. Eksir received a Bachelor of Arts in both Neuroscience and Psychology from Boston University prior to earning a medical degree at Wake Forest University. She completed her residency at Duke University Hospital.

Dr. Eksir is now providing high-quality care to the patients of Chapel Hill Primary Care. When you make an appointment with Dr. Eksir, you’ll experience a physician who is interested in your overall health and wellbeing. As always, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your concerns in a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Focus of Practice:

Dr. Eksir is passionate about patient education and patient-centered care, and you can expect that she will work with you to make sure that you have a good understanding of your health. You and Dr. Eksir will work as a team to care for your health in a way that fits with your lifestyle so that management of your health condition(s) does not become a burden to you. She is experienced in caring for elderly individuals as well as treating chronic problems including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol problems, thyroid disorders, asthma, COPD, mood disorders, chronic kidney disease, GERD, and IBS. Dr. Eksir also maintains a strong interest in women’s health by helping patients with pre-conception counseling, birth control, STD prevention and treatment, pap smears, and menstrual irregularities. Additionally, patients can feel comfortable seeking Dr. Eksir’s care for urological conditions, sexual concerns, autoimmune conditions, and simple skin lesion procedures.
